Welcome to the homepage of the Children's Hospice in Wroclaw. The word "Home" is not used accidentally here – home is where most of our work takes place. It is very important for a child to be able to spend the last days of their life with the loving family, surrounded by their toys, in the environment they know so well. That they can live as normally, as their condition lets them. We try to be with the child always when they need us, when the pain needs to be managed or to control appropriate functioning of the weakened body. It is not only the ill child that is our patient really – it is the whole family, which also needs constant support from a doctor or psychologist. We provide this support in difficult times of an illness and in the most difficult times any family would have to face – after the death of a beloved child, brother or sister. We wouldn't like, however, for the website to be filled with sadness and to bring only sorrow. The aim of our work is a big gust of life and hope which often can work miracles.
